Here's why:
WTF Factor: This is honestly one of the least weird ships that has ever been shipped.
Popularity: Considering Sam and Dean are two of the main, recurring characters on the show (we don't have many, they all die), it's no wonder Sassy is shipped by so many people.
Cannon Probability: Unfortunately, with the amount of Destiel hinting in the past few seasons, it seems fairly unlikely that Sassy will become cannon.
Castielle's Rating: I myself am by no means a Sassy shipper. In fact, before I started this blog, I had never considered pairing Sam with Castiel with any depth. However, I find the ship in relation to the plot for the upcoming seasons quite smart. While the main plot of Supernatural is "Saving People, Hunting Things," the "chick-flick moments" could use some plumping. My suggestion would be to utilize the hinting between Dean and Cas to the advantage of the show. By making Sam and Cas cannon, a jealous dean would come into play, possibly supporting two ships and adding a bonus PLOT TWIST to the show (as if we're actually short on those right now). TL:DR While I don't ship Sassy, I believe canonizing the ship could be very beneficial to furthering the show.
